                                              CHAPTER 2

                                       A shocking sight

After about 15 minutes the bus reached its destination. Mia and Lia climbed out of the bus first and walked to their school. They still had 20 minutes left for school to start. So, they walked around the school’s fountain laughing and chatting. “Have you heard about Mr. Roy’s strange incident?” asked Lia. “No, but I do know the fact that its Mr. Roy’s birthday today”, replied, Mia. “Hey, look there Lia. What a huge crowd!” Indeed, there was a huge crowd in the corner of the school’s playground which was located near to the fountain. It seemed like an argument or more like a conflict. There was anger bursting out through every corner of the crowd. When the two friends walked towards the crowd, they could hear a lot of screaming and shouting. That’s when the saw a shocking sight. A big, fat bully was torturing their friend Joanne. He was slapping her and screaming at her. But what was more shocking was that no one was bothering to go and help Joanne, NOT EVEN THE TEACHERS WHO HAD COME THERE! Mia was feeling scared. She wanted to help her friend but was too shy and scared.
